Picture this: crisp winter air in your lungs, winter grass under your shoes, quiet Rosendal hills and mountains waking up slowly with you. You head out for a relaxed trail run in the cold – not chasing times, just soaking up the stillness, the views, the burn in your legs.
And because winter mornings are made for sleeping in, we do things differently here in Rosendal. No pre-dawn alarms or freezing start lines. On both days, the runs only start at 09:30 allowing proper lazy winter mornings with coffee in bed, slow starts, hearty breakfast and sunshine warming up the trails before you head out. And then after the run, you come back to the good stuff.
Hot showers. Fires crackling. Red wine in hand. Thick socks. Warm accommodation. Long, lazy meals. Laughter with people who also chose to be here for the simple joy of moving in beautiful places and then slowing all the way down.
Fire & Ice in Rosendal isn’t about racing or medals. It’s about the contrast: cold trails by day, warm and cozy togetherness by night. A winter weekend to reset, breathe deeper, run a little, and then sink into comfort, conversation and fireside stories.
