Columbia Sportswear & WildTrail are proud to bring you this brand new event on the Gauteng trail running calendar. This promises to be a wonderful morning of trail running, socializing, fresh air and lots of fun. The trails have been laid out to cater for all runners regardless of age and fitness levels and will offer 3 trail options to accommodate serious runners, recreational runners as well as first time trail runners. 

The Owl's Nest restaurant will be open to serve breakfast after the run if you feel the need to refuel after all the effort. The beautiful venue also boasts a sparkling clear swimming pool for runners who want to cool off after the run as well as braai facilities for those who wish to linger a little longer in nature. There is also a BMX park, mountain biking trail and a jungle gym so make this a day for the whole family.

Undulating course on mountainous terrain, rocky climbs and descents, grassy sections, singletrack and jeep track.

Directions from Johannesburg

Take the N1 North and keep straight untill you get to the N4/Witbank off-ramp. Take this off-ramp and go onto the N4 East towards Witbank and keep straight untill you get to the Boschkop/Donkerhoek off-ramp (about 17km). Take this off-ramp and go through the toll gate (R8.50). Turn left just after the toll gate and drive for about 400m to the T-junction. Turn right onto the R104 / Old Bronkhortspruit road. Keep straight for about 5.3km. The road cuts through the mountain and just as you reach the top of the mountain, the turn off to Owls Nest will be on the left. Follow the markers to the venue from here.
